Thermal Product Solutions recently designed a custom environmental walk-in test chamber for an industry leader in advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology. Working in close partnership with the U.S. Departments of Energy and Defense, our client’s specifications were rigorous, exacting, and precise—and resulted in a Tenney Environmental Humidity and Temperature Test Chamber like none other.
The chamber features a high volume horizontal - down (elliptical) type airflow system with an electric heating system, a refrigeration system with thermostatic expansion valve (TEV) type control, and a steam injection type humidification system to condition the product. Three conditioning plenums are installed along the back wall of the chamber with identical conditioning equipment in each.
A 96” x 96” manual sliding door with window is installed at the front of the chamber. A crane removable 120” x 168” door is installed on top of the chamber. A 42” high safety railing is installed around the roof perimeter. For customer safety access to the roof, a safety ladder is installed at the front left of the chamber.
