One of the world's leading sources of highly precise timekeeping technologies chooses Thermal Product Solutions (TPS) to design a Tenney Thermal Vacuum Test Chamber for testing their state-of-the-art timekeeping innovations. With a client list that covers communications, enterprise IT, power utilities, financial services, aerospace, defense, and national labs, the industries they serve are almost as varied as ours, making this project an especially exciting challenge.
This Vacuum Chamber contains a thermally conditioned copper shroud which is centered within the chamber encompassing the workspace. A copper platen is employed and centered within the chamber. The chamber door is also thermally conditioned.
The chamber vessel is constructed of .375” thick, Type 304L stainless steel that is highly polished to minimize outgassing, and is designed to resist one atmosphere of external pressure while under vacuum. The vessel conforms to ASME Code, Section VIII, for Unfired Pressure Vessels.
